Pieris has applied its Anticalin technology platform to discover novel therapeutic candidates against a wide range of targets and across many disease areas. Each program in the pipeline presents a differentiated profile with first-in-class or best-in-class potential. The company has successfully completed its first clinical trial with its lead program (PRS-050 anti-VEGF, oncology) in the third quarter of 2011. Pieris is committed to moving the remainder of the pipeline rapidly through preclinical evaluation and toward the clinic. Most recently, the PRS-080 program received the support of an EU FP7 Grant of six million Euro to fund the EUROCALIN consortium, led by Pieris, through the completion of a Phase Ib clinical trial.
