(R)-Bromoenol lactone R)-BEL) is an irreversible, chiral, mechanism-based inhibitor of calcium-independent phospholipase γ (iPLA2γ). (R)-BEL inhibits human recombinant iPLA2γ with an IC50 of approximately 0.6 uM.
